Original diagnosis

A R. carmesina Heim praesertim differt annuli pilei marginem adhaerentis vel in stipite [*****] dermatocystidiorumque abundantium praesentia, pilei pilis voluminioribus, habitatione in silva clariore; sporae 8,13 ± 0,56 x 7,46 ± 0,51 µm (Q-1,09).
Zaïre: Binga, épars sur le sol de la forêt sèche, Oct. 1940, Goossens-Fontana 2043 (BR. holotypus).
