Cortinarius croceus

(Schaeff.) Gray

One of the many Cortinarius of sect. Dermocybe growing in coniferous forests: C. croceus is characterized by the yellow colour of the gills in young specimens. In some collections it is possibile to observe scanty to consipicuous brown veil remnants on the stipe. (m.f.)
