Lactarius romagnesii
Bon
Lactarius romagnesii is a critical taxon in the section Plinthogali; nowadays it is generally identified as a very dark species with crenulate cap margin and distant gills, growing in beech forests. The delimitation with respect to L. ruginosus and L. subruginosus requires a careful observation of the microscopic characters. (m.f.)
