Amanita submembranacea

(Bon) Gröger

Amanita sect. Vaginatae is a difficult group. Among the many taxa described, A. submembranacea is perhaps one of the most characteristic. It is found mainly in Picea forests, it has a cap coloured in brown, yellow-brown or olive and it has a volva which becomes greyish with age. (m.f.)
