Lactarius scrobiculatus

Lactarius scrobiculatus is a very common species in European spruce forests: it may be easily confused with similar taxa growing under conifers, such as L. intermedius and L. leonis.

The surface of the upper part of the stipe is covered by a dense white pruina which extends between the gills.
