Original diagnosis

Pileus 5-7 cm, raro 15-16 cm latus, subglobosus postea expansus depressus, progrediente aetate infundiboliformis. Umore viscidus-lardaceus, mox siccus griseus, griseo-olivaceus, olivaceo-cinereus, griseo-glaucus, saepe centro alutaceo, nunquam tinctura purpurea imbutus. Margine levi. Lamellae albidae, deinde cremeae, saepe furcatae, 5-15 mm latae, primum confertae deinde subdistantes. Stipes solidus, deinde spongiosus, albus. Caro alba, mitis, inodora: ope FeSO4 vix colorata. Sporae in cumulo ochraceae, subglobosae, punctato-verrucosae, verrucis seriatim vel reticulatim dispositis, (7,7) 8,25-9 (9,9) x (6,3) 6,88-7,42 (8,8) µm. Basidia 47,5-51,2 x 9,4-10,6 µm. Cystidia 77,5-87,5 x 7,5-10,6 µm. Cute pilis multiformibus, saepe loculis brevibus cum dermatocystidiis 3,75-7,5 latis. Pigmento granulari copioso. In silva frondosa, sub Tilia platyphylla. Autumno. Holotypus in herbario auctoris, nº 104 (Tridentum).
