Original diagnosis

Pileo 6-15 cm, medio alte depresso, margine primum maxime involuta, albo, saepe e luteo albido, e rufulo stramineo colore partim tincto, vel fere toto ochraceo vel sordide aurantiaco, magis minusve maculato, cute parum manifesta, tomentosa vel sericea. Stipite 2,5-5 x 1,3-3 cm, duro, obconico vel paulum ventricoso, albo vel eodem colore quo pileo, glabrescente. Carne crassa, alba, brunnea vel ex ochracea rufave brunnea nonnullis in locis, odore gravissimo, ad instar R. felleae; sapore dulci vel paulum in lamellis pungente. Lamellis satis distantibus, inaequalissimis, decurentibus, 5-8 mm latis, eburneis, deinde stramineis vel ex ochraceis cremeis, etiam paulum au-rantiaco colore tinctis ex ordine visis. Sporis saturatius cremeis. Sporis 7,5-8,7 x 6-7 µm, saepe oblongis, cristulatis vel connexis subreticulatis. Basidiis 52-60 x 9-11 µm. Cystidiis obtusis vel cuspidatis, ope Sulfovanillinae non nigrescentibus. Cute hyphis tenuissimis, cum passim aliquot dermatocystidiis 5,7-7 µm, non nigrescentibus. In fagetis.
