Original diagnosis

Pileus 30-70 mm, plano-convexus, centro leviter depresso et margine in fine distincte striato. Indumentum in tertia radii parte separabile, verruculoso-granuliferum, marginem versus roseo-rubello-violaceum (Seguy 98-105), olivascenti vel fuligineo-nigricanti in medio insignitum (Cailleux R67-R69-S67-S69), nonnunquam distincte testaceo-subrubrum sine olivaceo colore cum autem ochraceo-flaventibus notis. Stipes 30-60 x 5-12 mm, subaequalis vel ad basim leviter adtenuatus, albidus, brunneolis punctis a basi guttatus. Caro alba dein squalide griseata, crustatorum odore ; sub FeSO4 : fusco-viridis. Lamellae (4-6 mm), sat confertae, uncinatae, crassae, fragiles, marginem versus in sinibus venulosae, cremeo colore. Sporarum depositum e fusco-cremeo pallide ochraceum (IId-IIIa). Sporae ovoideae, echinulatae, distincte zebrino-subreticulatae, 8-11 x 6,5-8,5 µm. Pauca dermatocystidia, longa (x 6-10 µm), cylindraceo-subfusiformia, cum 0-1 dissepimento. Pilei pili sat crassi (x 3-6 µm), polymorphi, brevibus segmentis, parum ramosi, apice obtuso vel papilliformi. In argilloso-calcareis quercuum carpinorumque nemoribus.
