Original diagnosis

Pileus 2-6 cm latus, depressus vel infundibuliformis, cinnamomeus vel luridus, siccus, laevis, glaber, zonatus, ad marginem striatus. Lamellae decurrentes, luteo-bubalinae, angustae, confertae. Stipes 2-3 cm x 4-14 mm cylindratus vel leviter expansus, fistulosus mox cavus, cum pileo concolor, glaber. Caro tenuis, albida, aquosa; sapor mitis. Latex albidus. Sporae in cumulo albidae, 7.5-9.5 x 5.5-7.5(8.5 ± 0.5 x 6.4 ± 0.5) µm; Q= 1.31, ovoideae vel ellipsoideae, hyalinae, ornamentatione reticulata amyloidea 1 µm. alta. Basidia 25-30 x 6-7 µm, clavata, 4-sporigena. Acies lamellarum steriles. Cheilocystidia 25-35 x 5-7 µm, breviclavata, hyalina, tenuitunicata. Macrocystidia nulla. Trama hymenophoralis irregularis, intermixta, hyalina. Epicutis pilei trichodermialis, elementis clavatis vel piriformibus, fusco-brunneis efformata. Typus: Zambia, Piearce FP 600/3 (holotypus K).
