Original diagnosis

Pileus 5.7-7.5 cm latus, carnosus e convexo expansus, ad discum depressus, brunneo-bubalinus, siccus, rugosus, minute velutinus. Lamellae decurrentes, luteolae, brunneo-maculatae, subdistantes, lamellis raris praeditae. Stipes 3-4 cm x 8-14 mm, robustus, cylindricus vel obconicus, solidus, albidus vel stramineus dein sordide brunneus. Caro crassa, luteola, contusa atrobrunnea fracta, intermixta; odor ingratus, pisces revocans; sapor mitis. Latex copiosus, albidus. Sporae 8-10 x 6.5-8 (9.16 ± 0.5 x 7.25 ± 0.4) µm, ovoideae vel late ellipsoideae, hyalinae, ornamentatione verruculosa amyloidea, verruculis irregularis 0.2-0.4 µm altis et connectivis raris vestitae. Basidia 40-60 x 9-11 µm, elongato- clavata, 2- vel 4-sporigena. Acies lamellarum fertiles. Macrocystidia numerosa, 110-160 x 6-9 µm, sinuato-cylindrica, saepe ad apicem constricta vel mucronata, hyalina. Trama hymenophoralis irregularis. Epicutis pilei trichodermialis, elementis piriformibus hyalinis vel pallide brunneis efformata. Typus: Martinique, Fiard 625D (holotypus K).
